OPERS and URSJJ awarded by GFOA for Fiscal Year 2026

Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has given the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to OPERS and the URSJJ for their annual comprehensive financial reports for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

An independent panel judges the annual reports against the program’s high standards, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the annual reports.

OPERS has received this award for the 29th time, and the URSJJ for the 28th time.

GFOA also presented OPERS and the URSJJ  with the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for FY2025. This is the 19th time OPERS has received this award, and the 13th time for the URSJJ.

OPERS also received the Public Pension Standards Award for Funding and Administration from the Public Pension Coordinating Council for the 16th time.
